Events held by u3as

The Third Age Trust makes available a number of different types of grants to u3as. The primary purpose of all these grants is to raise awareness of the u3a movement (locally, regionally, or nationally) and to encourage the recruitment of new members.

Grants are not intended to cover all the costs of events, and u3as will need to be clear what resources (including financial) they are contributing, at the outset. When planning the annual programme, u3as are encouraged to consider what public facing events might be planned and how these will be funded.

The event below was supported by a grant from the Third Age Trust.

On behalf of the Trustees of the Community Life Hub Group, I should like to thank you and the members of Culm Valley u3a who participated in submitting the wonderful selection of artwork and Photographs during the year 24/25.
The showcase of work done by u3a members was a great therapy for patients and admired by the staff members, who very much appreciated the varied selection of exhibits submitted.
A special note of thanks must be attributed to Sue Hooper-Lawrie who coordinated the programme and assisted in hanging the artworks and paving the way for St Andrew’s School display for this current year.
We do hope the u3a members will be willing to contribute in the future.
Yours sincerely
Norman John Moulsley
